Future MLB All-Star

If you know Davis, you know that he LOVES sports -- especially baseball. At age two, Davis was hitting pitched balls and watching the World Series play offs. I remember Davis standing in front of the T.V. in September 2005 and asking for "ball, ball, ball, ball" until I figured out that he wanted to watch ESPN. It was during the World Series and the little guy climbed up on the couch and watched for hours. This year I fibbed (forgive me) about his age and signed him up for the Rookies. Although the belt, socks, and pants are too big, I am so glad I followed my instinct and signed Davis up for the Big League. The boy is in Heaven! Last night at the game I overheard a mother say to another mother, "Davis is so small, but he is so good!" Yep, that sums it up!

Got Wood? Got Nails? Got Tools?

Idea: Build a totally awesome, two-story clubhouse with porch and benches. We had to convince the boys that a Pirate Ship (as pictured in the book) wouldn't fit in our backyard (nor would it fit in with the budget).

How-To-Build-an-Amazing-Clubhouse Book: Santa brought it!

Tools: in the garage, in the house, and several scavenger hunts to find the missing hammers (DAVIS!)

Wood and Nails: Ace, Home Depot, and Lowe's and a trip to the Kellogg's to borrow the green truck to haul the plywood. (Jason wants a green truck now. He's earned himself one after this project . . . .)

Time with the boys: PRICELESS. We're about 6 weeks into construction. Our goal is mid-June.

Where are the hard hats?

Surprisingly, Jason is the one that smashed his finger. Although, we've had some close calls with all three. My boys love to hammer!

My Beautiful Kids

Davis reminds us that Easter is about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This was his idea. He wanted a picture with Jesus.

Sweet Escape

My handsome husband and I escaped to Wailea, Maui, on March 27th for 6 nights. After an unexpected delay in San Francisco (the pilots refused to fly aircraft due to it's unacceptable condition, whatever that means) and waiting patiently for 3 hours for a new plane and 5 hour flight, we made it to the gorgeous island of Maui. This year we stayed in Wailea instead of Ka'anapali and loved it! The hotels were at 30% capacity, no rain, no kids, yummy food, great friends, comfy bed, shaved ice, Lava Flows by the Serenity pool, beautiful flowers, morning walks, Hula Girl excursions, snorkeling with dolphins . . . I could go on and on. If you haven't been to Maui, save your money and head over there! It's truly paradise. I can't wait to go back!

Hanging out by the pool (ah, literally hangin' out). Talking to the kids. They missed us! Ok, we missed them, too.

Oceanview rooms, beautiful greenery, not a soul in sight!

Golfing at The Planation in Kapalua.

Sunday night BBQ on the beach and watching the sunset.

Good friends. I love Alison. She is a beautiful, kind, PATIENT, humble, and giving person. This beach was down the road from the Marriott where we stayed. Clint Eastwood's home is the first house on the left. Tiger Woods owns a home a few doors down.

I love flowers. The red flowers belong to the ginger family. I took a trillion pictures in front of the flowers!

A cute wedding chapel on the beach.

Outside our hotel room. A strange man asked to take pictures of us. My hair was not cooperating so I'm not too excited about the pictures, but the guy is hot! And the view is breathtaking!

The Marriott has the coolest pool! It looks like it flows into the ocean.

Another shot of the Serenity pool -- adults only! It was so quiet. You can see the floating cabana and palm trees that blend in with the ocean. There's actually a rocky, lava beach below the pool.
