Davis' Suggestion

More than Olivia and Chandler, Davis has been very curious about the pregnancy, babies, if I'm going to be cut open, if my tummy is bigger, if the baby is getting bigger, if the baby is making me sick, etc. It's a lot of fun being pregnant with older kids who talk and poke and ask innocent questions I'm not ready to answer. Davis surprised me today with a very heartfelt suggestion. "Mom, I think you should swallow a toy so the baby has something to play with." Although he doesn't quite understand, I was touched 'cuz here's my Davis thinking of something really nice for his younger brother or sister. And if you know Davis, that says alot!

For Marty: The Snowman Judge

My good friend and co-conspirator at work, Marty, made fun of my son's snowman. How heartless to make fun of a 7 year-old's first attempt at a snow creature! So, just for you, Marty, here is Chandler's second attempt. He recruited some help and I think, with the exception of the banana, he's pretty darn cute.

A few hours later, Grandma Carol placed a sombrero on top of his head!

More New Years Eve

More fun, goofy shots of us on New Years Eve. Surprisingly, we all made it to midnight. I'm looking forward to a happy 2009 with my family and friends -- and a new baby!

Me and Tausha. When she lived in Los Angeles we would visit each other often. Tennis, movies, reality shows, laughs -- all good times. Tausha moved to Utah a few years ago so we don't see her as much. I miss her. We were being goofballs -- it all started with the Karaoke.

Seconds before midnight! We were rushing to fill our glasses with sparking cider. Some of us lost our cute hats. Chulo, the grand-dog, even had one on for a brief moment.

We played lots of games, including Sequence, my new favorite (besides PathWords). The Parkins are a competitive bunch -- Watch out!

New Years Eve

Here are some shots of our New Years Eve party that I copied from my niece. The Parkins throw a huge New Years Eve party each year. Food, games, family, friends, and most importantly, KARAOKE, are highlights of the evening. You should have heard me sing Whitney Houston's "I'll Always Love You." Oh, it was awful and funny and I nearly peed my pants.
